Atlas Search is partnering with an established alternative investment manager to hire an Investor Services Analyst in New York. The firm runs a long-standing real estate platform spanning debt and equity strategies, including joint ventures, closed-end and open-end funds, and opportunistic investments. This role sits at the center of investor capital activity, reporting, and data integrity. It's built for someone who wants to improve how the work gets done, not just process it.
Location : NYC (5 days/week onsite)
Compensation : $100,000 to $125,000
What You'll Do
- Shadow third-party fund administrators to ensure investor data and capital activity are recorded accurately and on time
- Process subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, exchanges, distributions, and capital calls in the firm's investor management system
- Review subscription, redemption, and transfer documents for completeness and investor eligibility across funds and share classes
- Reconcile investor services data against fund accounting records and run down discrepancies
- Review investor statements, including management fees, incentive fees, and P&L, and coordinate approval and release
- Track capital call and subscription funding and report on it to internal stakeholders
- Prepare capital activity analysis and time-sensitive requests for senior management
- Produce custom reporting for Legal, Compliance, and other internal teams, including ERISA, investor domicile, and Blue Sky reporting
- Produce monthly and ad hoc reporting for external investment platforms, including fee rebates and capital call and distribution reporting
- Find and build automation using Excel, AI tools, Salesforce, and administrator-side enhancements to streamline investor services workflows
- Partner with Technology, Tax, Compliance, and Fund Accounting on reporting and process initiatives, taking on more project ownership over time
- Support fund launches, fund closes, and quarter-end
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of experience in fund accounting, investor services, fund administration, or fund operations
- Big 4 audit experience covering alternative asset managers also qualifies
- Working knowledge of fund accounting concepts, including fee structures, capital activity, and reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and large data sets
- A track record of improving processes by building tools, automating manual work, or tightening controls
- Strong attention to detail and the persistence to research a discrepancy until it's resolved
- Ability to manage high volume and competing deadlines with minimal oversight
- Clear written and verbal communication across multiple teams
- Sharp, driven, and eager to take on more as the platform scales
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Preferred
- Investran experience
- Salesforce experience
- Experience at or working closely with a third-party fund administrator
- Exposure to real estate, open-end, or closed-end fund structures
- Familiarity with AML, FATCA, and CRS regulations
- Comfort using AI tools to improve speed and accuracy
