Group Fitness Instructor- Part Time

Cornerstone Clubs is a dynamic health club with two locations serving the Central Bucks community. We are currently seeking enthusiastic, dependable Group Fitness Instructors with a current group exercise certification. If you are positive and outgoing, and enjoy being active and helping people improve lifelong health and function, we'd love to meet you.

Availability: Early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Position Summary

Group Fitness Instructors lead safe, engaging, and effective fitness classes while creating a welcoming environment that motivates members of all fitness levels.

Responsibilities:

• Teach group exercise classes at our Doylestown and/or New Hope locations
• Design and lead classes within Cornerstones programming guidelines
• Provide your own music (from approved sources)
• Deliver clear verbal and visual instruction using proper exercise technique and progressions
• Modify exercises to accommodate varying fitness levels and individual needs
• Monitor participant safety and provide coaching to ensure proper form
• Create an energetic, inclusive, and motivating class atmosphere
• Welcome participants, build relationships with members, and provide outstanding customer service before, during and after class
• Assist new participants with equipment set-up and proper use.
• Arrive 15-20 minutes before class for set-up, includes Livestream Set-Up
• Disinfect and sanitize equipment after class, using provided sanitizing wipes
• Maintain professionalism and represent Cornerstone Clubs in a positive manner

Qualifications:

• Current Primary Group Exercise or Specialty Certification (cycling, yoga, barre, etc)
• Current CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
• 1-2 years of group fitness instruction experience (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Professional, positive, and reliable attitude
• Ability to teach mornings, evenings and/or weekends

Physical Requirements:

• Demonstrate exercises throughout the duration of class while maintaining proper form
• Stand, walk, bend, squat, reach overhead, and reach below the knees as required during instruction.
• Safely lift, move, and set up class equipment as needed.
• Observe participants throughout class to ensure safety and provide feedback.
