We are looking for a dependable Diesel & Heavy Equipment Mechanic to help maintain and repair our company fleet.

Our fleet includes skid steers, front-end loaders, dump trucks, garbage trucks, pickup trucks, trailers, and other construction equipment. We are open to candidates with different levels of experience, including recent trade-school graduates or mechanically experienced applicants looking to grow into a diesel/heavy-equipment role.

You do not need experience with every type of equipment we own. We are willing to train the right person on our specific fleet.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Repair and service engines, brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulic systems, and related components
• Troubleshoot DEF and regen systems as needed
• Perform occasional local field or road-service calls
• Maintain basic repair and service records
• Help keep equipment safe, reliable, and ready for use
• Welding or fabrication experience is a plus, but not required

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience, technical schooling, automotive experience, diesel experience, or heavy-equipment experience preferred
• Entry-level candidates and recent trade-school graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Valid driver's license
• Own basic mechanic tools
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Experience with skid steers, loaders, CAT, Bobcat, Komatsu, dump trucks, or similar equipment is a plus, but not required
• Must be willing to perform occasional field or road-service calls

Work Environment

This is a hands-on mechanic position. Most work is performed in our service shop, which is not air conditioned. Some larger equipment must be serviced outdoors, and occasional local field or roadside repairs may be required.

Schedule & Benefits

• Full-time position
• Approximately 40–60 hours per week depending on workload
• Overtime available
• Monday–Saturday availability may be needed depending on workload
