The Copywriter delivers high-quality writing in a fast-paced environment. An experienced storyteller, this person works closely with a team of writers, designers, multimedia specialists and marketers to apply the Gulfstream brand voice across channels and craft compelling customer-facing messaging for a global audience.

 

 

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, English, Public Relations, Philosophy, Psychology or a related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 2 years writing and editing experience in both electronic and print formats required..

Position Purpose :

The Spec II Copywriter is a storyteller who delivers quality writing in a fast-paced environment. The person works closely with the Senior Copywriter and team to shape the brand voice across channels, crafting compelling customer-facing messaging for a global audience.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

1. With minimal supervision, writes for a variety of formats (including ad campaigns, web copy, print collateral, magazine editorial, etc.) and works to form channel-specific voice variations .
2. Proofreads and fact checks content as needed .
3. Has an easy command and usage of AP style .
4. Works with others to ensure consistency of the brand and messages across the enterprise .
5. Collaborates with designers, photographers and brand marketers .
6. Participates as a department team member to strategize and develop and implement goals and objectives that support the company .
7. Meets deadlines for all assignments as required.
8. Digests technical content and transforms it into emotion-driven storytelling .

Additional Functions:

1. Provides support to members of the department as needed and promotes consistency in content. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
