Job Description
Company in Aventura is looking for a STAFF ACCOUNTANT
• Manage incoming and outgoing financial transactions, including vendor payments, customer invoicing, and cash application activities.
• Perform regular reconciliations for bank accounts, ledger balances, and related financial records to identify and resolve variances.
• Create journal entries and maintain clear supporting documentation to ensure accurate accounting records.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing tasks by preparing schedules, verifying balances, and assisting with account review.
• Review invoices, employee expense submissions, and payment activity to confirm accuracy, proper coding, and policy adherence.
• Organize and update accounting files, records, and documentation to support reporting needs and audit readiness.
• Provide assistance with payroll-related accounting tasks and help prepare associated reports when needed.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and account analyses by gathering data and validating information.
• Work closely with internal teams and external partners to investigate discrepancies and help maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting support activities.
• Working knowledge of billing processes, account reconciliation, and routine financial record maintenance.
• Ability to prepare journal entries and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
• Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting support.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to review transactions for accuracy and compliance.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with departments, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Proficiency in organizing accounting records and managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
